Role Summary

As a Project Manager I, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of projects within the division. This role emphasizes project execution, operational support, and effective communication across multiple functional areas to help guarantee successful project outcomes. The position is a fixed-term contract expected to conclude by mid-2028.

Work Model and Locations

This role follows a hybrid model requiring employees to work on-site at least three days per week. The position may be based at any Boston Scientific location within the United States (IN-Spencer, MA-Marlborough, MA-Quincy, MA-Waltham, MN-Arden Hills, MN-Maple Grove, MN-Minnetonka), Costa Rica (Coyol, Heredia), or Ireland (Clonmel, Cork, Galway). Sponsorship for employment visas and relocation assistance are not provided for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and monitor detailed project schedules, milestones, and deliverables using project management software.
  • Coordinate activities across interdisciplinary teams including R&D, Marketing, Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Operations.
  • Track project progress, identify scheduling risks or resource limitations, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Assist in planning initiatives comprising timeline creation, resource allocation, and maintaining project documentation.
  • Organize project meetings, record action points, and ensure follow-up on assigned tasks.
  • Compile contributions from team members and stakeholders to maintain accurate project status and schedules.
  • Monitor metrics, deliverables, and dependencies to maintain alignment with project goals.
  • Support resource management by tracking team capacity and workloads across multiple projects.
  • Prepare and communicate progress updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper project documentation and compliance with business and quality standards.
  • Undertake additional duties and support special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related fields.
  • At least three years of experience in project coordination or management roles.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Strong organizational capabilities with adeptness at handling competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or Jira.
  • Thorough understanding of project management concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Ability to identify risks, resolve challenges, and diligently follow up on action items.
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the medical device industry or other regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with product development or commercialization within regulated sectors.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent credentials.
  • Proven capacity to influence stakeholders and foster alignment across multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $202,900 annually, varying according to location, experience, education, and other factors. Additional compensation components such as annual bonuses or long-term incentives may apply, depending on the role and eligibility.
