About the Role
Join QLeave's Enterprise Program, Planning and Delivery team as a Project Manager (AO8), based in Brisbane at the Northgate office. This role offers the chance to manage complex, high-risk projects that align with QLeave's strategic goals and enhance service delivery for Queensland workers. The position requires strategic insight combined with firm execution, accountability, and strong influence skills, for those eager to lead important enterprise initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the delivery of challenging and high-risk projects ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Oversee project governance, detailed planning, risk management, and delivery assurance activities to secure project success.
- Offer expert strategic advice to senior leadership and project teams on project execution, business transformation, and governance matters.
- Develop and sustain project management frameworks, plans, and reporting systems in line with best practice methodologies.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies proactively to enable informed decision-making and seamless delivery.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders and external partners to meet project goals efficiently.
- Lead communications and engagement initiatives to support organizational readiness and encourage sustainable change adoption.
- Track and report on project progress, resource allocation, budget utilization, and benefits realization.
- Promote continuous improvement and foster a culture emphasizing accountability, collaboration, and excellence in delivery.
- Support enterprise-wide efforts and undertake additional duties as necessary.
Candidate Profile
- Track record of successfully managing extensive, complex, and high-risk projects within business or transformation frameworks.
- Advanced capabilities in project management related to governance, planning, risk regulation, financial oversight, and assurance of deliverables.
- Expertise in stakeholder engagement, influence, and relationship management, with the ability to inspire trust across all organizational tiers.
- Excellent communication, consultation, and facilitation skills, including advising senior leadership and preparing executive reports.
- Proven experience in leading organizational change and fostering adoption of new systems, processes, or ways of working.
- Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving abilities combined with sound judgment centered on outcomes.
- A proactive, accountable mindset capable of thriving amid ambiguity and maintaining project momentum.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with project management frameworks such as PRINCE2.
- Experience with Microsoft enterprise tools, MS Project, and platforms like Smartsheet or Monday.com.
