Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Cork team to lead all project-related activities and ensure successful delivery aligned with company values and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion a robust Health, Safety & Environment culture, fostering continual improvements aligned with our top priority of Safety.
  • Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and workforce throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead project team functions encompassing Project Execution Plan development, Risk and Commercial Success management, Financial oversight, Process adherence, HSEQS compliance, Stakeholder Management, Project Administration, Design Management, and Project Close Out activities.
  • Develop and implement the Project Execution Plan, emphasizing HSE and Quality strategies.
  • Prepare and present contract reports; collaborate with Quantity Surveyors to update monthly cost meetings.
  • Evaluate buildability and identify construction methods that offer commercial or scheduling advantages.
  • Plan, organize, and direct construction operations for structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Create and manage project plans and schedules to meet established objectives, coordinating all activities per company quality systems and engineering specifications.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle from initiation through handover, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, quality standards, and client satisfaction.
  • Promote a 'right first time' approach throughout the project.
  • Provide leadership, management, and technical expertise to ensure project success.
  • Supervise subcontractor workflows on-site to align with project schedules.
  • Engage in regular meetings with clients, architects, and consultants, providing progress updates.
  • Manage quality assurance, BCAR coordination, and enforce safety regulations on site.
  • Address technical queries and liaise with clients, consultants, and architects for Request for Information (RFI) processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years' experience in healthcare, commercial, or residential construction, preferably with a main or specialist contractor.
  • Extensive knowledge of the construction industry and project execution methodologies.
  • Strong expertise in safety and quality management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English.
  • Proven team player capable of building effective relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Confident leadership with the ability to mentor and motivate colleagues.
