Job Details
- Position: Program Manager, Strategic Initiatives
- Salary Range: $67,367 - $81,689, commensurate with qualifications and experience
- Schedule: Standard 40-hour workweek; options include traditional, flexible, or compressed hours
- Location: Remote with less than 10% occasional travel; optional New Orleans office attendance available
- Reports To: Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives
- No direct supervisory responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead onboarding and optimization of grant-seeking software to align funding opportunities with organizational priorities, distributing tailored bi-weekly grant alerts and maintaining funder tracking tools.
- Streamline and train staff on business development processes, including grant identification, proposal coordination, and integration with finance.
- Contribute to writing proposals, scopes, and budget development while managing pre- and post-engagement with external partners.
- Develop partner profiles, conduct environmental scans, and manage stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Drive process improvements, establish organizational standards for documentation, and support service line development with outreach and pricing strategies.
- Manage projects including documentation management, operational tool deployment, and continuous efficiency enhancements across teams.
- Assist in organizational reporting aligned with Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning functions.
- Design and implement procurement systems and lead the implementation of project management software and tools at the organizational level.
- Support communications through preparing professional correspondence, organizing dissemination, auditing document systems, and aiding marketing efforts for external partnerships.
- Manage project timelines, develop workflows and standard operating procedures, monitor risks, ensure quality control, and support staff training.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; PMP certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience providing complex administrative and project management support to leadership.
- Proficient with project management and grant tracking software, Microsoft Office suite, and video conferencing platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom).
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence and discretion in confidential matters.
- Experience in survey development and usage of polling tools.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and solve problems proactively.
