About Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU)

The Ghana Communication Technology University, formerly known as Ghana Technology University College (GTUC), is an established public university under the Ghana Communication Technology University Act 2020 (Act 1022). Situated in Tesano, Accra, it focuses primarily on Information and Communication Technology education, fostering an environment supportive of teaching, learning, research, faculty advancement, and academic excellence.

Position Overview

We invite qualified individuals to apply for the position of Professor within the Business School. Candidates can apply for roles in any of the following departments:

• Management and Human Resource
• Accounting, Banking and Finance
• Economics
• Marketing
• Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Applicants should specify their intended department and professorial rank clearly in their application letter (e.g., "Application for the Position of Professor in the Department of Marketing").

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a Ph.D. in a relevant specialization.
• Previous appointment as a Professor at a recognized university with appointment and promotion standards comparable to GCTU's. Specifically, this entails at least three years' experience as an Associate Professor and a minimum of fifteen publications in reputable academic journals; or
• Associate Professors seeking elevation to Professor are initially appointed at the Associate Professor rank and must undergo the University's promotion procedures.
• Submission of three referees' names and contact details.

Key Duties

• Carrying out teaching, supervising students, conducting research, engaging in community service, and contributing to faculty development as expected from a Professor at a Ghanaian public university.
