Position Overview

The Product Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring our activewear products meet the high standards of top brands. This role involves close collaboration with the Product Development team and other departments within the company. A strong attention to color accuracy, fabric construction, and dyeing techniques is essential. The ideal candidate is experienced in coordinating with international vendors while managing tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and review lab dips, strike-offs, trims, and bulk production shade bands; provide detailed feedback and collaborate with Designers and Merchandisers to assess color and quality.
  • Evaluate production samples, consult with Designers, and finalize comments or approvals for the production team.
  • Coordinate distribution of color standards and new fabric developments to domestic and international agent offices at season start and on demand.
  • Support Design, Merchandising, and Production teams by tracking samples and fabric deliveries.
  • Maintain seasonal resources including color and fabric libraries, fabric approval records, and documentation for lab dips and approved bulk orders.
  • Update color palettes with all color revisions.
  • Communicate comments effectively to the Production team.
  • Oversee product assortments, manage time and action calendars, and monitor the overall development process.
  • Identify and resolve issues that risk delivery delays or liabilities, promptly informing leadership to devise solutions.
  • Participate in fittings with the Design Team to monitor style modifications, artwork updates, and graphic placements.
  • Coordinate with Production Coordinators, Designers, Sales, and vendors to address queries throughout the development cycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Product Development or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in Product Development or similar apparel industry roles.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of knit and woven fabric construction and dyeing methods.
  • Deep understanding of garment construction, production processes, and product knowledge.
  • Excellent color perception and awareness of current trends.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage timelines and project milestones.
  • Motivated learner who thrives in fast-paced environments.
  • Willingness and ability to work onsite in an office setting.
