Product Designer

About the Role

Creative Niche is searching for a skilled Digital Product Designer for a contract engagement based in Toronto with a hybrid working arrangement—four days in the office and one remote day. This role offers an exciting chance to influence digital experiences used by millions, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a reputable Canadian digital firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the interaction design strategy to enhance user experiences by conducting research, facilitating ideation sessions, and hosting workshops.
• Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and design documents that clearly outline user flows, points of interaction, and interface elements.
• Lead usability testing efforts, perform design evaluations, and apply research findings to guide product design decisions.
• Communicate design proposals effectively to stakeholders and serve as the key interaction design expert within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design (interaction, visual, product, or industrial), Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or commensurate experience.
• More than five years of experience crafting user interfaces across various platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to incorporate user research into actionable design solutions.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools including Figma, Mural, and UserTesting.com.
• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to clearly articulate design strategies.

Preferred Credentials

• Master's degree in Design or a related discipline.
• Experience engaging with research methodologies, agile development teams, and large-scale organizations.
• A strong appreciation for design thinking principles and processes.
