Role Overview
As a Product Designer at AIOS Medical, you will hold a senior role with significant autonomy and responsibility for product design across clinical software and customer-facing mobile applications. You will lead projects from initial ambiguous challenges to fully shipped design solutions, balancing user needs, business objectives, and strict regulatory and commercial constraints. Collaborating closely with product leadership, engineering, and customer experience teams, you will contribute both hands-on design expertise and leadership within the growing design organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of design projects end-to-end, from defining problems to delivering successful outcomes.
- Create and enhance consumer-facing web and mobile app interfaces, with a strong emphasis on the mobile experience.
- Design and refine internal tools used by clinical, operational, enrollment, and customer experience teams to improve workflows and usability.
- Navigate complex design challenges influenced by regulatory compliance and commercial constraints, ensuring solutions are feasible and effective.
- Understand and articulate both business goals and user needs clearly to inform design decisions.
- Independently lead discovery, user research, solution definition, and implementation phases for projects.
- Communicate design rationale transparently, defending decisions and collaborating productively in discussions.
- Provide proactive design leadership, mentoring peers and helping shape the design culture without relinquishing hands-on design work.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience designing digital products, including consumer mobile apps or internal enterprise tools.
- A robust design portfolio demonstrating real-world product work, showcasing problem framing, constraints, impact, and polished final designs.
- Strong independent ownership skills enabling you to confidently tackle loosely defined problems and move projects forward efficiently.
- Focus on usability and functional clarity over superficial polish, able to improve products within technical or systemic limits.
- Excellent written and verbal communication to explain design problems, trade-offs, and decisions, with confidence in constructive debate.
- Preferably formal design education or equivalent experience with deep product design understanding.
- Experience working on regulated or complex products is valued, particularly where legal and compliance objectives influence design boundaries.
- Comfort collaborating with engineering teams with awareness of implementation considerations impacting design.
