Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Lead the packaging department by ensuring ingredients are packed as per specific recipe guidelines into designated plastic containers and kits.
• Prepare and package food items weekly in line with recipe specifications, utilizing specialized single-use portioning machines.
• Set up, operate, and maintain packaging machinery, guaranteeing safety, cleanliness, and optimal functionality.
• Adhere to safety standards and contribute to maintaining a clean, healthy, and food-safe production environment.
• Perform physical tasks including frequent bending and lifting objects weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Manage end-of-shift cleaning processes and appropriately stage completed products.
• Operate in a temperature-controlled workspace maintained between 0-4 degrees Celsius.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of three years in a leadership role, preferably within food production or packaging.
• Experience operating and servicing industrial portioning and packaging machines under fast-paced production conditions, ensuring operational efficiency and minimal interruptions.
• Familiarity with dicing, slicing, and vacuum food packaging (VFP) machinery.
• Intermediate skills in Google Sheets for tasks such as data entry, monitoring, reporting, and shift documentation.
• Strong numerical aptitude with proven experience in inventory management and controlling stock levels.
• Thorough knowledge of allergen segregation protocols and food safety compliance requirements.
• Effective communicator with clear verbal, written, and interpersonal abilities.
• Empathetic and professional team player who values mutual respect and understanding in workplace interactions.

• Hourly pay rate of $22.25 CAD.
