Power BI Lead

Role overview

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is looking for an experienced Power BI Lead to join its MEA team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, on-site position focused on designing and delivering enterprise-scale business intelligence solutions. The role calls for strong expertise in Power BI, with SSAS and SSIS preferred for data modelling and integration work.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of complex Power BI reports, including paginated reporting and large-scale BI solutions.
• Create and maintain advanced semantic models, with a preference for SSAS Tabular modelling.
• Develop sophisticated DAX formulas and build efficient data models.
• Use tools such as DAX Studio and Performance Analyzer to improve report and model performance.
• Apply Row-Level Security and ensure solutions follow governance requirements.
• Review code, define development standards, and coach less experienced team members.
• Handle Power BI Service administration, deployments, and workspace governance.
• Work with stakeholders to shape solutions and ensure successful delivery.

Requirements

• 8 to 12 years of experience in BI or related analytics work.
• Deep practical knowledge of Power BI, advanced DAX, and data modelling.
• Hands-on exposure to SSAS, especially Tabular models.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing and BI architecture.
• Experience in tuning performance and resolving optimization issues.
• Ability to lead teams, review work, and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Microsoft Power BI certification such as PL-300 is an advantage.
• Experience with SAP BO and/or Oracle is also considered beneficial.
• Notice period should not exceed 45 days.
