Position Summary

The Post Closing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate collection, review, and delivery of completed loan documents and trailing documents, facilitating timely loan servicing onboarding and document compliance for investors and banks. This includes managing a substantial loan volume and collaborating with third-party vendors. The role demands strong customer service and effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine original closing documents for proper execution.
• Promptly follow up to obtain corrections on any closing document discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Capital Markets to resolve investor queries.
• Track, review, and request corrections on all trailing loan documents.
• Efficiently handle a large queue of loans to meet deadlines.
• Proactively recommend improvements to streamline the closing process.
• Contribute ideas and strategies to enhance efficiency and user experience.
• Assist in mentoring and training new team members.
• Escalate unresolved issues to management when necessary.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in residential mortgage lending, particularly in post-closing and quality assurance roles.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptability to a dynamic and fast-evolving industry environment.
• Comfortable working in a digital, paperless system environment.
• Intermediate PC skills and adeptness with new technology systems.
• Strong teamwork and customer service orientation.

Additional Details

This position is based remotely, approved within the company’s hiring regions, and is aligned with a hybrid distributed work philosophy. The expected annual base salary range is $45,000 to $55,000, with an additional $3,500 bonus and benefits. Compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
