Job description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Platform & DevOps Engineer with 3 to 6 years of expertise in Linux administration, networking, Microsoft Azure cloud services, and DevOps methodologies. The candidate will be responsible for managing edge infrastructure and containerized applications while ensuring robust cloud operations and network reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and provide ongoing support for Linux servers, specifically Ubuntu, along with managing edge infrastructure components.
- Configure and resolve issues related to networking equipment such as VLANs, routers, firewalls, and switches.
- Deploy, maintain, and oversee applications within Docker containers and Docker Compose environments.
- Handle Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure management, including network configurations, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and performance monitoring.
- Execute system security enhancements to harden infrastructure and guarantee compliance with security policies.
- Troubleshoot hardware devices including Intel NUCs, 3D cameras, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches.
- Deliver remote technical support utilizing SSH sessions and other remote access utilities.
- Author and maintain automation scripts using Python and Bash to streamline operations.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical manuals, and deployment runbooks.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Linux administration (Ubuntu/Debian environments).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
- Expertise in Docker and Docker Compose for container management.
- Strong networking knowledge including VLANs, routers, firewalls, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Competence in using SSH for secure remote operations.
- Ability to script using Python and Bash to automate tasks.
- Understanding of infrastructure management and DevOps practices.
- Experience with system security measures and hardening techniques.
- Skills in hardware troubleshooting for devices like Intel NUCs and 3D cameras.
- Capabilities in providing remote support to distributed systems.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with IoT and Edge Computing technologies.
- Familiarity with ROS 2 (Robot Operating System) frameworks.
- Knowledge of React and TypeScript front-end technologies.
- Domain experience in air cargo or logistics is advantageous.
Experience and Location
This role requires candidates with 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience and is based in Pune, India.
Education Eligibility
Candidates should have completed a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in any specialization.
