Placement Officer

Role Overview

This position, reporting to the Manager within the Operations department, involves leading a team of 5 to 6 Traffic Incharges. The successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading truck procurement efforts to secure optimal freight rates and managing operational coordination with central teams to ensure smooth logistics activities.

Key Duties

• Supervise and guide Traffic Incharges to optimize truck acquisition at competitive freight costs.
• Develop and nurture relationships with existing and prospective booking offices to strengthen supply networks.
• Maintain active engagement with supply partners to facilitate efficient matchmaking processes.
• Coordinate effectively with central teams to uphold seamless operational workflows.
• Oversee vehicle tracking systems and promptly address any proof of delivery (POD) or payment discrepancies.
• Drive the achievement of targets related to truck placement, freight value, and profit margins.

Candidate Profile

• Excellent negotiation skills paired with strong relationship management capabilities.
• Effective communication skills necessary to interact across teams and stakeholders.
• Possession of a graduation degree is advantageous but not a strict requirement.
