Role Overview

The Performance Solutions Lead enables advertisers and sellers to achieve success on Pinterest by promoting core products and pioneering cutting-edge best practices. Team Context

Operating within the GTM Operations and Strategy organization, the Performance Solutions team drives strategic advice, operational excellence, and technical know-how to enhance advertising campaign efficiency, boosting client ROI. Key Responsibilities

  • Master Pinterest advertising campaign best practices and Ads Manager to become the regional performance expert.
  • Act as the technical liaison for sales teams to support activation of lower funnel campaigns including eCommerce and performance-focused strategies, leveraging knowledge of products, auctions, and implementation.
  • Empower sellers to promote new performance products at scale alongside campaign strategies, especially automation-driven tools.
  • Analyze extensive Ads Manager and client MSOT data to identify upcoming performance opportunities.
  • Support early-stage performance product testing phases to ensure success.
  • Simplify complex processes and products into understandable content for non-technical audiences.
  • Engage in global subject matter expert groups focusing on new performance products and technical integrations.
  • Be the principal contact for leadership concerning account planning, shopping strategies, and revenue growth through performance and shopping initiatives.
  • Provide strategic consulting to key clients for adopting new performance products and designing A/B testing agendas.
  • Identify client challenges and propose systemic or procedural solutions to enhance Pinterest’s offerings.
  • Adapt global best practices to fit regional market needs and communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Leverage AI tools to structure complex performance inquiries, develop hypotheses, design tests, and validate results against authoritative reports.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Over eight years of experience in digital marketing, ad technology, or ad operations.
  • More than five years combining client-facing roles with hands-on experience in ad tech platforms, operations, or campaign management.
  • At least five years specializing in performance marketing within agencies, clients, or tech vendors.
  • Proven success in selling or securing organizational approval for performance products.
  • Familiarity with tagging, tracking QA, and basic web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Solid expertise in digital advertising, media sales, campaign optimization, and analytical problem-solving.
  • Technical background in advertising technologies across search, shopping, display, and social media.
  • Working knowledge of API implementations such as Conversion API.
  • Advanced understanding of web analytics and e-commerce tactics to drive retail and other prioritized verticals.
