The role is essential in acting as the initial contact for new employees, overseeing vendor and compliance workflows, and revising SOPs to ensure scalable People Operations. - Create and update People Operations SOPs to ensure consistent and scalable practices.
- Assist with employee accommodation requests, working confidentially with involved parties.
- Help develop, launch, and communicate new employee policies.
- Act as the first responder to employee inquiries, including piloting AI-assisted support mechanisms.
- Manage onboarding, tracking, and offboarding processes for contractors.
Qualifications and Skills
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in People Operations, HR, or similar operational/compliance roles; startup or high-growth background is beneficial.
- Strong skills in designing, maintaining, and improving SOPs.
- Experience or ability to quickly learn to use background check platforms and manage compliance tracking.
- Familiarity with vendor evaluation and implementation processes.
- Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive data such as accommodations and compliance checks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective employee engagement.
- Capability to manage several processes simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Comfort with AI tools and systems, including piloting AI for employee support.

The role offers a base salary ranging from $95,000 to $115,000 annually, plus equity. Final pay is influenced by experience, skills, and interview results. Benefits include comprehensive health coverages (health, dental, hospital, accident, and vision) and a 401(k) with employer match. Norm Ai supports a flexible hybrid work setting, typically requiring in-office presence 3 to 5 days per week.
