About the Role
Join a purpose-driven organization dedicated to generating positive impacts for people and the planet. We are looking for a PED/PER Certification Manager to oversee activities related to the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and the Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations SI 2016, including audits and inspections under specific EN ISO standards. This role offers the opportunity to operate remotely within the UK or European countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage development and implementation of business activities related to PED and PESR compliance.
- Provide expert technical guidance on a broad range of pressure equipment, supporting inspection and certification processes.
- Conduct audits and inspections aligned with EN ISO/IEC 17021-1, EN ISO/IEC 17065 certification body requirements, and EN ISO 17020 Type A inspection body standards.
- Design and project manage service offerings to align with client requirements while considering commercial, technical, and strategic factors.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maximize PED/PESR business opportunities.
- Perform on-site PED/PESR compliance audits independently.
- Support business control activities of inspection services and contribute to staff training initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of five years in a senior technical or management role within the pressure equipment industry or comparable experience as assessed by the PED Technical Manager.
- Extensive expertise in design, manufacturing codes, materials, welding, non-destructive testing, pressure testing, and certification processes associated with pressure vessels, piping, and safety accessories.
- Strong commercial and business insight into pressure equipment manufacturing and inspection sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding of the PED/PESR legislation, related codes, standards, products, and affected industries.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical information, including delivering training and presentations effectively.
Additional Information
- This position is remote within the UK or selected European countries including Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, and Spain with salary scales dependent on location.
- Salary ranges vary from £42,400 to £50,000 in the UK, €56,000 to €65,000 in Ireland, €63,600 to €70,000 in Germany, €60,000 to €68,000 in the Netherlands, PLN 144,000 to PLN 170,000 in Poland, and €42,400 to €50,000 in Spain.
