Job Overview
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and executing comprehensive payroll functions for all company entities. This includes managing monthly payroll processes, reimbursement transactions, ad-hoc payments, and handling final settlements. The role is crucial in ensuring payroll accuracy, appropriate cost allocation, balance reconciliations, and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Primary Duties
- Accurately process monthly payroll across all company entities within established deadlines.
- Manage verification and processing of employee reimbursements, ad-hoc payments, and final settlements.
- Review and update employee leave records every month to reflect accurate payroll deductions.
- Perform monthly payroll costing and allocate expenses correctly among departments and subsidiaries.
- Prepare and execute monthly reconciliations related to payroll accounts such as provisions and accruals.
- Maintain current and precise employee payroll and leave data ensuring data integrity within HR and payroll software systems.
- Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, labor laws, and company policies related to payroll management.
- Assist with both internal and external auditing by providing necessary documentation and account reconciliations.
- Work closely with Employee Relations teams to address leave discrepancies.
- Stay updated with changes in labor legislation, taxation, and other regulatory matters impacting payroll, ensuring timely compliance.
- Drive ongoing enhancements to payroll and leave management processes and systems to boost efficiency and accuracy.
- Generate and submit payroll and workforce reports for management review, audits, and compliance monitoring.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of five years’ experience managing payroll within a multi-entity organizational setting.
- Strong familiarity with UAE labor law and payroll compliance standards.
- Proficient in payroll systems and HR information systems, specifically Oracle.
- Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and reporting abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- High integrity and ability to manage confidential employee information discreetly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or closely related fields.
