Position Details

We are currently looking for a dedicated Payroll Executive to join our Payroll Services Department, located at our Cork office. Reporting directly to the Senior Payroll Manager, this role is permanent and full-time with a 37.5 hour work week. The position operates on a hybrid basis, requiring presence at the office two days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately and promptly processing a range of payrolls for private and public sector clients on weekly, fortnightly, and monthly schedules.
  • Administering changes such as new hires, terminations, tax updates, pay rate adjustments, and managing allowances, deductions, and third-party payments like pensions and health insurance.
  • Responding to client payroll inquiries effectively and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Liaising with Revenue Online Service (ROS) concerning payroll notifications, submissions, accounts, reporting requirements, tax registrations, and agent linkage.
  • Calculating and monitoring employee benefits including BIKs, annual leave, statutory holidays, and public holidays.
  • Performing manual net and gross pay calculations as necessary for client requirements.
  • Reviewing and updating payroll bureau training materials and processes.
  • Collaborating with the Payroll team and partners on various project assignments.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certified Payroll Technician (IPASS) or Diploma in Payroll Management is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience handling Irish payroll operations.
  • Familiarity with Sage MicroPay and/or MegaPay systems is beneficial.
  • Experience in public sector payroll is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
