Payment Network Product Manager - Global Payment

About the Role and Company

ByteDance's Global Payment team is dedicated to delivering comprehensive payment solutions such as payment acquisition, disbursements, transaction oversight, payment method management, forex conversion, accounting, and reconciliations. These systems ensure users experience smooth and secure financial transactions on platforms including TikTok.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and expansion of ByteDance's global payment network by integrating with key payment partners including major service providers and financial institutions worldwide, supporting the company’s international growth.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of payment product management, including analyzing partner capabilities and business needs, and coordinating with technical, business, and other relevant teams to ensure quality deliverables on schedule.
• Continuously improve the platform by enhancing user experience, operational productivity, payment success rates, system reliability, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency through platform upgrades and optimizations.

Qualifications

• Possess at least a bachelor's degree with strong academic achievements.
• Have a minimum of 3 years professional experience, including at least 2 years specifically in the payments domain.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the global payment ecosystem, including card acquiring, card issuing, eWallets, bank transfers, and cash payment options.
• Experienced in managing end-to-end product development within software or web technologies, with strong abilities in abstraction and synthesis.
• Excellent analytical and logical reasoning skills, with independent problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrate strong execution, accountability, and ownership to drive projects and resolve issues effectively and promptly.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on user experience, business strategy, and commercial considerations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of card acquiring systems and platform design is advantageous.
• Experience collaborating with leading Fintech, Acquirers, or Card Networks is beneficial.
