Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the paper machine to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Efficiency, and People (SQDEP) performance standards.
- Execute daily management practices, including structured shift handovers and production performance reviews.
- Monitor operations to identify inefficiencies and lead corrective actions and continuous improvement projects.
- Lead and develop frontline supervisors and hourly staff to foster capability, accountability, and high performance.
- Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership, conducting audits, and handling incident investigations.
- Collaborate closely with Maintenance and Quality teams to enhance equipment reliability and process efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in paper manufacturing or comparable heavy industry sectors.
- Demonstrated leadership managing supervisors or production teams effectively.
- Solid technical knowledge of paper machine operations.
- Proven track record in achieving results and driving continuous improvements.
- Previous roles such as Production Supervisor, Superintendent, or Production Manager are preferred.
- Familiarity with reliability programs or manufacturing excellence methodologies is advantageous.
- Willingness to relocate, with relocation assistance provided.
