Role Overview

The Packaging Project Coordinator will be an essential member of the Packaging Development team, assisting in the management of artwork projects tied to brand expansion, new territories, and product renovations. This role involves collaborating closely with various teams such as Artwork, Master Data, Operations, Copy, Product Development, and Regulatory functions. Under the guidance of the Senior Packaging Project Manager, the coordinator will help facilitate efficient project execution and oversee packaging artwork processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage packaging artwork projects including renovations, sampling, reworks, and new product distributions.
• Utilize the artwork management system ESKO to update existing artworks, create new artworks and overlabels.
• Coordinate the artwork approval cycle between internal teams and external vendors to guarantee timely receipt of proofs and final artwork.
• Work closely with the Product Data Management Assistant for coordinating SKU, component code, and barcode creation requests.
• Contribute to the overall packaging project timelines ensuring deadlines are met.
• Track project progress carefully, identifying risks or delays and escalating issues as necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date internal filing of artwork documents needed for registration and merchandising.
• Facilitate cross-departmental sharing of artworks within the organization.
• Develop and sustain strong partnerships with external suppliers.
• Support upkeep of the packaging library and archive for easy access and reference.
• Keep internal documentation current, including packaging text, translations, and procedural guides.
• Manage label color approval workflows with print suppliers ensuring consistent and accurate color reproduction.

Collaboration

This position reports directly to the Senior Packaging Project Manager and involves working closely with cross-functional teams including NPD, Design, Regulatory, Master Data, and Supply Chain.

Candidate Profile

• A strong passion for packaging design and the beauty industry.
• Understanding of packaging materials, printing technologies, artwork creation, and production processes.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented mindset focused on precision throughout artwork development phases.
• Experience with artwork management software such as ESKO.
• Proficiency in project management and workflow tools like Monday.com or equivalents.
• Familiarity with product data management systems is preferred.
• Self-driven, proactive, with a strong focus on results and excellent organizational abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective relationships across diverse teams and suppliers.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and adaptable to fast-paced environments where priorities may change.
