Role Overview

We seek a dedicated Sanitation Operator for our Brantford, Ontario facility. The selected candidate will ensure sanitation processes adhere strictly to safety, quality, and regulatory standards, maintaining a hygienic production environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift Type: 12-hour rotating continental shifts
• Hours: 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM and 5:45 PM to 6:00 AM
• Schedule Cycle: Two weeks of daytime shifts followed by two weeks of nighttime shifts (subject to change)

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $28.41 plus any applicable premiums.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation procedures as per Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) to maintain food safety and compliance.
• Keep production lines clean through regular and intensive cleaning methods.
• Operate sanitation equipment safely and report any malfunctions promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and effective completion of sanitation tasks.
• Accurately document and monitor all sanitation-related activities.
• Identify and promptly report safety hazards, risks, or operational issues.
• Assist in preparing the plant for audits, inspections, and facility tours.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Completion of High School Diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) certificate.
• Willingness and ability to work rotating continental shifts, including days and nights.
• Previous experience in sanitation, cleaning, or food production settings.
• Proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Able to adhere to directions and work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Physically fit to lift up to 50 pounds and capable of repetitive motions such as standing, bending, and climbing.
• Dependable and punctual with the ability to perform well in fast-paced environments.
• Clear criminal background check or receipt of a pardon.

Preferred Attributes

• Mechanical familiarity for basic troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments.
• Experience managing sanitation schedules aligned with food safety regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills suited for a team-oriented workplace.
• Comfortable working in industrial conditions including cold, wet, or noisy environments.
