Role Overview
This part-time position based in Berlin, Germany involves managing daily operational tasks with a hybrid approach that allows for some remote work. The Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating event schedules, handling venue arrangements including virtual platforms, and maintaining communication channels with community members and partners.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee execution of operational processes to ensure timely completion within defined scope.
- Track budgets and manage resources efficiently.
- Maintain databases related to member information and engagement.
- Prepare analytical reports summarizing event outcomes and member participation.
- Collaborate with volunteer leaders and organizers to enhance operational workflows.
- Contribute to development and refinement of standard procedures supporting sustainable community growth and positive member experiences.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated organizational expertise and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Prior experience in operations, project coordination, or community management, preferably within technology or nonprofit sectors.
- Familiarity with productivity software such as spreadsheets, project management applications, and communication tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German is advantageous.
- Self-motivated with aptitude for independent work and effective collaboration in hybrid environments.
- Basic understanding of technology principles with an interest in cloud computing or AWS technologies; previous exposure to AWS is a benefit.
- Experience with budgeting and resource management or basic data analytics and reporting is favorable.
- Educational background including a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in operations, business, management, or a related discipline preferred.
