Position Overview
The role of Operations Manager at Forge Robotics offers a part-time position based in Berlin, Germany, combining both on-site and remote work. The manager will oversee daily operational activities such as production scheduling, coordinating workflows, allocating resources, and managing vendors to guarantee seamless manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and refine operational procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Track and report on key performance indicators related to manufacturing.
- Support logistics management for modular factory units and contract manufacturing initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and leadership teams to ensure operations align with project schedules, quality standards, and customer needs.
- Optimize inventory control and supply chain workflows.
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts within the organization.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in operations management including production planning, workflow coordination, and process enhancement.
- Background in manufacturing or hardware operations, preferably in high-precision or industrial sectors.
- Strong capabilities in project coordination, scheduling, and working across technical and non-technical teams.
- Competency in operational software tools such as spreadsheets, ERPs, inventory management systems, and project management platforms.
- Good grasp of supply chain, vendor oversight, and logistics within manufacturing contexts.
- Excellent organizational skills, analytical thinking, detail-oriented approach, and decision-making based on data.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal; additional German language skills advantageous.
- Effective management of hybrid work settings, balancing on-site duties in Berlin and remote collaboration.
- Experience with dynamic startups or scaling operational teams preferred.
- Academic credentials including a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
