Operations Director

Role overview

A globally established manufacturer in the flavours and food ingredients sector is looking for a seasoned Operations Director to steer end-to-end operations at its Singapore plant. This is a senior strategic role with accountability for the site's overall performance, covering the full value stream from procurement and planning through production, storage, distribution and customer delivery.

Key responsibilities

As part of the APAC Management Team and reporting to regional leadership, you will shape and deliver the long-range operations plan for the Singapore site while upholding strong standards in safety, quality and customer experience. You will guide a cross-functional operations team and build a culture focused on ownership, ongoing improvement and operational excellence.

In partnership with commercial, quality and regional stakeholders, you will strengthen collaboration across functions, improve supply chain efficiency, develop organisational capability and keep the site aligned to support continued growth across Asia Pacific. You will also drive Lean practices, efficiency gains and regulatory adherence, while maintaining a strong customer-first approach.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant has demonstrated leadership experience in flavours, food ingredients, food manufacturing, or another tightly regulated process manufacturing environment. A strong background in overseeing integrated manufacturing operations, leading business transformation and developing high-performing teams across several functions is important.

Experience working closely with commercial teams, rolling out continuous improvement programmes and handling complex manufacturing settings will be a strong advantage. This position suits a collaborative, people-focused leader who is comfortable both defining strategy and dealing with hands-on operational issues.
