Role Overview
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the everyday functions of Laboratorio de Inteligencia Artificial Aplicada (LIAA) by managing administrative workflows, monitoring ongoing projects, and facilitating communication between both internal teams and external stakeholders. This role operates on a part-time basis and is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange schedules including meetings and events to maintain smooth operations.
- Maintain and organize project documentation to ensure up-to-date records.
- Coordinate resources and logistics for research initiatives and outreach programs.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from collaborators and external partners.
- Oversee operational processes and identify opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Assist with basic reporting tasks and follow up on necessary actions.
- Support the implementation of new tools and methods to improve overall organizational productivity.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in Operations Management encompassing workflow organization and project coordination.
- Strong Administrative Assistance abilities including scheduling, documentation management, and accurate record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with interdisciplinary teams and external collaborators.
- Analytical capabilities to assess information, prioritize daily tasks, and aid decision-making processes.
- Customer service aptitude to address inquiries and support stakeholder needs.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently in a remote, part-time environment handling multiple duties with precision.
- Experience working in academic, research, or nonprofit organizations is advantageous.
- Proficient in using productivity and collaboration software such as email platforms, online calendars, shared documentation, and project management tools.
- A bachelor’s degree in fields like Administration, Management, Social Sciences, or comparable professional experience.
- An interest in artificial intelligence, technology, and socially impactful projects in Latin America is considered a plus.
