Multidrop Delivery Driver - Warrington

Role overview

ON-DEMAND PEOPLE is hiring van delivery drivers to support a trusted client with moving lifting equipment, tools, and machinery between customer locations and construction sites. The role also involves safe loading and unloading, with strict adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate commercial vans and other vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
• Carry out both local and longer-distance driving assignments.
• Work out delivery routes and schedules in coordination with transport arrangements.
• Pick up, transport, deliver, and return hire equipment from customer sites promptly and professionally.
• Complete all hire-related checks and paperwork accurately.
• Secure loads correctly in line with the Safe System of Work.
• Handle delivery documentation and records.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before each trip and complete basic maintenance where needed.
• Follow all relevant driving laws and road regulations.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a driving job involving delivery and collection of equipment from customer sites.
• Strong customer service standards and a neat, professional appearance.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Willingness to suggest practical improvements and think creatively.
• Good organisational ability.
• Comfortable operating equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Schedule and pay

This is a day-shift role, running Monday to Friday. Pay is £14.57 per hour on a PAYE basis, with holiday pay included. Weekly pay is mentioned.

Performance expectations

Success in the role will be measured by on-time deliveries, a no-fault accident record, and efficient loading and unloading at the beginning and end of the working day.
