Job Overview

We are seeking a Multi Lines Field Adjuster for our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia office. This role focuses on assisting clients through the claims process by thoroughly investigating claims, assessing losses, and negotiating settlements in line with provincial licensing requirements. The position requires managing a broad range of cases while fostering strong relationships with clients and delivering high-quality service.

Work Environment

This is primarily a field role involving frequent travel to various loss locations across the region. When not on-site, you have the flexibility to work from home, balancing independence with collaboration and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed investigation, gather, and analyze claims data.
• Review insurance policies and negotiate claim settlements while ensuring cost control and compliance with provincial licensing standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including reporting and presentation of claim files.
• Track billing, time management, and expense reports meticulously.
• Collaborate with management to sustain strong client relationships.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least five years’ experience in handling property and/or casualty insurance claims.
• Ability to obtain an Independent Adjuster License in all Atlantic provinces; Ontario licensing is considered an advantage.
• Completion or active pursuit of the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is mandatory.
• In-depth understanding of liability insurance policies.
• Post-secondary qualification related to insurance is beneficial.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in handling multiple priorities efficiently.
• Team-oriented attitude contributing positively to collective goals.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; frequent regional travel required.
