Job Summary

This role involves managing showroom merchandising and conducting inspections across multiple African distributor locations. The Merchandiser will ensure that brand standards are adhered to within distributor showrooms by evaluating displays, layouts, and overall presentation. This includes identifying compliance gaps, recommending solutions, supporting new product merchandising, and reporting findings back to headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out recurring inspections of distributor showrooms to verify conformity with company standards including product range, displays, shelving, lighting, sanitary ware installations, and cleanliness.
• Highlight issues of non-compliance or areas for improvement and propose corrective steps.
• Follow up with distributors to guarantee effective implementation of corrective measures.
• Assist in merchandising activities such as presenting new products and upgrading showroom images.
• Capture 8 to 10 standardized photographs per showroom that showcase key display zones and sample rooms.
• Document inspection results, corrective actions taken, and their completion status in reports.
• Compile and submit periodic summary reports of showroom inspections to the corporate headquarters.
• Coordinate with internal Sales, Marketing, and Product Specialists teams as well as distributor personnel to resolve showroom-related challenges.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Between 1 to 3 years of experience in showroom inspections, merchandising execution, or store audits.
• Prior experience or exposure to the ceramics, building materials, or sanitary ware industry is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of distributor management across multiple markets is beneficial.

Location

The position is based in Accra, Ghana and requires on-site attendance.
