Medical Coding Team Lead

About the Role

Mediscope Global Services Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a seasoned Team Lead for its medical coding function in Avadi, Chennai. This role calls for someone with solid coding expertise along with the ability to guide people, manage performance, and respond effectively to client needs.

What the Role Involves

• Lead a medical coding team and support day-to-day team management.
• Maintain coding quality standards while also keeping productivity on track.
• Review work for accuracy and monitor quality performance.
• Coach, mentor, and guide team members to improve output and capability.
• Handle client expectations and process requirements in an effective manner.

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in medical coding is required.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience as a Team Lead in a medical coding process is necessary.
• Strong working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines is expected.
• Background in quality monitoring, productivity tracking, mentoring, and team supervision is needed.
• Good communication skills and proven leadership ability are essential.
• AAPC or AHIMA certification is preferred.

Eligibility Criteria

• Only applicants currently living within 10 to 15 km of Avadi, Chennai should apply.
• Applicants from outside the city, as well as those planning to relocate, are not being considered.
• Candidates must be available for in-person interviews and able to join immediately or after a short notice period.
• People without relevant Team Lead experience in medical coding will not be shortlisted.
