About the Role

Join Genesis Minerals Limited at our Leonora gold operations in Western Australia as a Mechanical Fitter. This role involves supporting installation, operation, development, and maintenance of machinery across the Process Plant, Bore fields, Site Infrastructure, and Village. You will work on an 8 days on / 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain plant and equipment to ensure high availability and reliable performance.
• Collaborate closely with Supply team regarding mechanical purchases and inventory control.
• Work alongside Maintenance and Processing Shift Supervisors to optimise equipment function and uptime.
• Operate autonomously by prioritising tasks based on the Maintenance Priority System when supervisors are unavailable.
• Supervise and guide Maintenance Contractors working on plant or infrastructure.
• Ensure Mechanical Workshop facilities and tools are kept in proper working condition.
• Meet established maintenance cost targets efficiently.

Candidate Profile

We seek a driven and skilled Mechanical Fitter passionate about working in dynamic mining settings. You should be adept at troubleshooting mechanical issues with a practical, safety-focused attitude.

• Hold a Mechanical Trade Qualification as a Fitter.
• Possess a minimum C Class (Manual Car) Driver’s License and HR (Manual) Driver’s License.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining mechanical equipment commonly found in gold processing plants.
• Proficient in welding and hydraulic systems.
• Good communication skills and computer literacy.
• Familiarity with Pronto or comparable maintenance management software.
