Mechanical Engineer (MMUP/UPDA First Category)

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer certified as a First Category Engineer by MMUP/UPDA, currently holding Qatari residency. Project Scope and Vision

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure achievement of objectives for the development and execution of assigned requisitions, meeting time, quality, and budget specifications following corporate and project procedures.
• Manage the entire technical purchase cycle for assigned equipment.
• Maintain active cooperation with clients and various internal departments, facilitating timely, quality technical information exchange.
• Exercise authority to secure necessary collaboration across departments responsible for equipment quality and scheduling.
• Participate in project meetings as required and keep accurate activity records using the TAES application weekly.
• Identify and propose technical and economic enhancements within your work area.
• Suggest lessons learned and value engineering initiatives.
• Commit to continuous professional development by leveraging available learning opportunities.
• Utilize various specialized software tools effectively, including Smart Materials (Marian), Document Management System (Documentum), eVDDR & eGesDoc, IAP, TAFS, and the Lessons Learned System.

Requirements

• Valid MMUP/UPDA First Category Engineer certification with relevant Qatari residency.
• At least 12 to 15 years of pertinent engineering experience, with substantial exposure to Qatar or the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable strong engineering and project management background.
• Prior involvement in major projects within Qatar is highly advantageous.
• Good understanding of Qatar engineering codes, regulations, and project specifications.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and technical capabilities.
