Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer for a contract role based in Doha, Qatar for an initial period of 6 months, with possible extension. This role requires specialized expertise in commissioning mechanical equipment within Oil & Gas, Desalination, or Industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform commissioning activities, including testing, troubleshooting, and start-up operations of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Supervise field technicians and coordinate commissioning workflow efficiently.
- Oversee commissioning of both static and rotary mechanical equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and cross-disciplinary project teams ensuring safety and successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least 5 years of relevant commissioning experience in Oil & Gas, Desalination, or Industrial projects.
- Previous work experience in Qatar, specifically in Oil & Gas projects, is mandatory.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in commissioning operations beyond construction/installation stages.
- Senior-level capability in leading commissioning teams and activities.
- Possession of valid Qatar Identification (QID).
