Material Planner

Overview

We are searching for a diligent and forward-thinking Material Planner to become a key member of our Supply Chain team at Abunayyan Holding’s industrial business unit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This position is crucial for ensuring uninterrupted production by efficiently planning, scheduling, and coordinating all material requirements. You will optimize inventory levels while supporting punctual customer deliveries.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and manage materials planning using Master Production Schedule (MPS) input and MRP tools to determine material needs, reorder points, and purchase mandates.
• Create purchase requisitions and collaborate with procurement to guarantee timely availability of materials.
• Proactively address any shortages or supply disruptions to prevent production interruptions.
• Maintain inventory control, monitor stock levels to minimize surplus or obsolete inventories, and track critical fast-moving items.
• Liaise with suppliers, warehouses, production, engineering, and logistics teams to streamline material movements and supply chain activities.
• Analyze forecasting data, production plans, and KPI metrics to generate material planning reports, inventory status, shortage alerts, and procurement forecasts.
• Contribute to inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock optimization recommendations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in material planning, production planning, procurement, or supply chain functions within a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in using ERP/MRP software in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, engineering, or heavy industry sectors is advantageous.
