Market Agent

Role overview

BGN Robinson is hiring a dedicated and professional Market Agent to support its sales effort in Accra, Ghana. In this role, you will be assigned to a particular market and will focus on strengthening relationships with wholesalers, finding fresh business opportunities, driving sales growth, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with wholesalers and retailers in your assigned market.
• Identify new sales opportunities and convert prospects into long-term customers.
• Visit each customer at least two times per week.
• Track customer stock levels and anticipate replenishment needs.
• Share weekly pricing updates, product availability, and new product information with customers.
• Coordinate deliveries and follow up to make sure orders are correct and arrive on schedule.
• Address customer issues promptly, or escalate them when required.
• Continuously look for additional businesses that could become customers.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Confidence in approaching new businesses and building rapport.
• Ability to work independently with strong self-drive.
• Dependable, well-organized, and proactive in day-to-day work.
• Prior experience in sales or customer service is helpful, though not mandatory.

Compensation and benefits

• Fixed base pay.
• Commission earned on every bag of sugar sold.
• Weekly travel allowance.

Interview process

Applicants who are shortlisted will take a brief phone interview with the Sales Lead and CEO on WhatsApp.
