As a Procurement Manager specializing in grocery and beverage categories, you will shape and implement sourcing strategies that drive Chipotle's growth and ensure supply reliability. You will build supplier partnerships, spearhead strategic sourcing projects, and engage collaboratively with departments such as Supply Chain, Marketing, Culinary, Food Safety, Finance, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement processes for grocery and beverage categories with considerable annual budgets.
• Craft and execute category strategies focused on supply continuity, cost savings, innovation, and expansion.
• Lead sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, supplier assessments, negotiation, and contract finalization.
• Work jointly with suppliers and internal teams to foresee and manage supply risks.
• Assess supplier performance, capacity, financial stability, and operations for sustainable sourcing decisions.
• Analyze spend data, market trends, and cost models to identify savings and enhancement opportunities.
• Support cost inflation control and productivity improvements through strategic collaborations and sourcing.
• Promote supplier diversification and mitigate risks linked to geopolitical and market factors.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews, maintain scorecards, and drive continual improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support innovation, limited-time offers (LTOs), new menu developments, and product launches.
• Manage project lifecycles from strategy development to implementation and monitoring.
• Communicate progress, financial impacts, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Initiate process improvements enhancing procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
• Mentor procurement team members and partner functions to build capabilities and support development.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
• Proven experience managing complex categories and supplier relationships.
• Deep understanding of procurement processes including spend analysis, category management, negotiations, contracts, forecasting, and supplier evaluations.
• Track record of creating sourcing strategies that deliver quantifiable business results.
• Advanced data analysis skills supporting decision-making and negotiations.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Skill in influencing cross-functional teams and building collaborative partnerships.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities within dynamic environments.
• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, or Six Sigma are advantageous.

Additional Information

Compensation: The base salary for this position is estimated between 114000 and 160500 USD annually, along with eligibility for performance-based bonuses and equity. Total rewards include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401k, paid leave, and other benefits.
