Manager - Materials

Overview

This role requires extensive experience (10-15 years) in purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing, and supply chain management, ideally within sectors such as Electrical Equipment, Switchgear, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Industrial Products. The position focuses on leading procurement and sourcing activities specifically for the Switchgear-6 Division, ensuring material availability, managing costs, developing supplier relationships, and driving supply chain efficiency while upholding quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute procurement strategies that align with the company's business goals.
• Source, assess, and cultivate suppliers for various switchgear-related components including fabricated parts, electrical items, sheet metal parts, bought-out components, and raw materials.
• Lead strategic sourcing projects aimed at cost reduction and value engineering achievements.
• Promote localization efforts to develop alternate sourcing options.
• Perform market research and benchmarking to discover and leverage sourcing opportunities.

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience

• B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialization.
• 10-15 years of experience in procurement and supply chain domains, preferably in the electrical or manufacturing sectors.
