Role overview
Elis Textile Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician for its Glanmire site in County Cork, Ireland. The position is based at Sallybrook Industrial Estate, Glanmire, Co. Cork, T45 PK74, and reports to the Engineering / Maintenance Manager.
Elis is an international provider of textile, hygiene, and cleanroom services operating in 30 countries. The business supports highly regulated sectors with contamination-control solutions, working with customers in pharmaceutical, medical device, and high-tech manufacturing settings.
In this role, you will help keep plant, production, and cleanroom-critical equipment running safely, reliably, and in line with compliance requirements. The work is practical and hands-on, with a mix of routine maintenance, urgent repairs, and continuous improvement support in a regulated environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns on production, ICS, and cleanroom equipment.
- Identify faults and complete repairs on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Help maintain cleanroom compliance by keeping equipment aligned with required control standards.
- Support the setup, commissioning, and alteration of equipment.
- Work with production, quality, and operations teams to reduce downtime.
- Keep maintenance logs and related records accurate and up to date.
- Follow Health & Safety rules, site procedures, and regulatory obligations; carry out fire walks at the end of shift and ensure shutdown procedures are completed correctly.
- Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers when needed.
Skills and experience
- A recognised trade qualification, or equivalent hands-on experience, in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
- Background in an industrial or manufacturing setting; experience with cleanroom or regulated environments is an advantage.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Careful attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
- A flexible, proactive, and self-starting approach.

Additional information
The role is full-time, with a working week of 39 hours. Salary is €36,605.40 per year.
