Maintenance Helper

Position Summary

This role involves addressing minor plumbing issues, such as clearing blocked drains, unclogging toilets, and fixing leaking faucets. Additional tasks include performing small-scale repairs like tightening loose toilet seats, replacing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls. Periodic upkeep of tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication, is also required.

Responsibilities

• Follow company protocols and safety regulations closely.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete any required safety training and maintain certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance and uniform.
• Protect company information and assets confidentially.
• Interact courteously with guests and recognize their service requirements, including accommodating guests with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and guests.
• Build positive working relationships and respond appropriately to colleagues' concerns.
• Adhere to company quality standards.
• Perform physical duties such as bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and reaching above shoulders or below knees.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machinery visually for maintenance needs.
• Lift, push, carry, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Assist with movement of items over 100 pounds (e.g., air conditioning units, televisions, dressers).
• Use stairs, service ramps, and ladders safely as needed.
• Manipulate objects of varying size and weight effectively.
• Carry out other duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum education requirement of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No previous work experience required.
• No supervisory experience necessary.
• No professional licenses or certifications mandatory.
