Job Overview

The Maintenance Custodian role involves overseeing the upkeep and safety of company premises according to organizational standards, ensuring a safe and healthy workplace environment. Responsibilities include managing daily maintenance tasks, building repairs, security duties, and liaising with vendors for premises-related issues.

Primary Responsibilities

• Engage with small vendors as necessary to discuss and inspect premises concerns.
• Ensure receipt of all vendor quotes within five days.
• Conduct thorough inspections of the premises, both interior and exterior.
• Report any required repairs identified during inspections.
• Monitor exterior and interior lighting, including exterior timers, noting any outages.
• Compile and submit monthly inspection reports for each location.
• Ensure biannual inspections of fire alarm systems and related pumps are completed.
• Address and manage health and safety compliance related to the premises.

Qualifications and Skills

• Completion of High School diploma.
• Currently enrolled in BTVI courses (course details and schedule to be coordinated with supervisor).
• Possession of a valid driver's license at all times with a clean driving record.
• Capability to lift weights of 50 pounds or more on a daily basis.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive bending, pushing, and pulling activities.
