Role Overview

We are seeking an immediate addition to our dynamic and fast-growing business development team for the role of Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst. Over the past year, our team has evaluated more than 100 potential acquisitions and successfully closed over 25 deals. Reporting to the Senior Analyst of M&A Analytics, you will collaborate closely with the Vice President of Finance & M&A, the Chief Development Officer, the Senior Vice President of Business Development, and Regional Directors to significantly contribute to our corporate growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analyses from practice owners and engage in internal investment committee discussions, addressing queries and concerns.
• Maintain and update financial models to evaluate the profitability of target veterinary hospitals.
• Assist with drafting Letters of Intent (LOIs) for potential acquisition targets.
• Prepare comprehensive deal summaries and presentations for the investment committee, senior management, and prospective sellers.
• Support due diligence processes by reviewing financial documents and bank statements, reconciling reported figures with source data, and identifying risks and necessary adjustments.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in accounting or corporate finance, preferably within multi-unit healthcare settings.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution is mandatory.
• Experience in performing financial and market analyses focused on geographic areas to evaluate deal feasibility and expansion opportunities.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, particularly in handling large datasets.
• Comfortable utilizing AI technologies to enhance financial analyses and presentations, with a proactive interest in exploring emerging AI tools.
• Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with team members.
• Proficient in forecasting acquisition outcomes.
• Demonstrates a results-oriented mindset, strong professional ethics, a positive attitude, and high work integrity.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
