Logistics Supervisor - Amazon Logistics

Overview

Join Amazon's dynamic team as a Logistics Supervisor overseeing operations within both Amazon Logistics (AMZL) and Fulfillment Centers (FC). This pivotal role involves leading diverse teams in a fast-moving environment, optimizing workflows, and fostering continuous operational improvements to exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations across AMZL and FC settings, directing teams of approximately 30-40 personnel including Operations Assistants, Delivery Service Providers, and Associates.
• Allocate labor resources, facilitate team meetings, assign tasks, and maintain structured organizational processes.
• Lead and develop high-performing teams while promoting a safe workplace aligned with Amazon's health and safety guidelines.
• Analyze performance metrics rigorously, identify root causes of inefficiencies, and implement solutions to enhance operational KPIs.
• Drive process improvements by applying problem-solving skills and analytical methods to simplify complex issues without sacrificing quality.
• Communicate metrics and exceptions clearly to various stakeholders, collaborate with cross-functional groups, and manage relationships with external agencies.
• Employ and support operational technologies and tools to ensure smooth functioning, oversee maintenance, and facilitate integration of new systems.
• Exercise decisive problem solving and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or minimum two years of full-time experience with Amazon (blue badge).
• At least one year of experience managing employee performance and leading teams.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk for shifts up to 12 hours, and frequently engage in pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
• Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience exceeding one year with performance metrics, process improvements, or lean methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related disciplines.
• Background in fast-paced, rapidly changing, or international work environments.
