About the role
The organisation is looking for a licensed Customs Broker to join its national customs team. The role can be based in Adelaide or Melbourne and reports to the National Customs Manager. It is an independent position, supported by a central shared services function, so you can concentrate on delivering accurate and dependable customs brokerage support for a broad client base.
The right person will already hold the required licence, bring solid hands-on customs brokerage experience, and be comfortable managing a varied workload with minimal supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, check, and submit customs paperwork, making sure declarations and supporting records are complete, accurate, and compliant.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and management to assist day-to-day customs operations.
- Carry out customs-related work in line with applicable legislation and regulatory obligations.
- Advise clients on customs clearance matters, including tariff classification and duty concession matters.
Skills and experience
- Current experience working as a licensed Customs Broker.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good understanding of the import process across air and sea freight.
