Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Leisure Centre Cleaner to uphold the exceptional cleanliness and safety standards of our leisure facilities. This vital behind-the-scenes role ensures the leisure centre is spotless, safe, and fully prepared for guests and members daily. The position suits individuals who pride themselves on their work, have meticulous attention to detail, and are comfortable working independently during late-night hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Sanitize and clean changing rooms, showers, toilets, and communal areas thoroughly.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, surfaces, mirrors, lockers, and other leisure centre amenities.
• Regularly disinfect frequently touched areas.
• Replenish toiletries, cleaning agents, and other necessities as needed.
• Properly empty bins and dispose of waste safely and correctly.
• Conduct scheduled deep cleaning tasks meticulously.
• Use and store all cleaning materials and equipment safely.
• Report any maintenance issues, health and safety risks, or security concerns promptly.
• Adhere strictly to hygiene, chemical usage, and health and safety protocols.
• Ensure the leisure centre is perfectly presented and ready for the next day's opening.

Candidate Profile

• Dependable and punctual with the ability to work late-night shifts.
• Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high cleaning standards.
• Capable of working independently and managing tasks efficiently.
• Exhibits a positive, professional, and approachable demeanor.
• Physically fit for duties requiring lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
• Prior cleaning experience in hotels, leisure centres, gyms, or related environments is preferred; however, comprehensive training will be provided.
• Available to work from 9:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., usually four nights weekly, including weekends when necessary.
