Lead Member - Proposal Engineering

Overview

This role of Lead Member in Proposal Engineering is based in Katraj, Pune within the Consumer Electronics Division. Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, this position requires developing competitive techno-commercial proposals aligned with consumer electronics automation projects. The focus is on analyzing client requirements, conceptualizing solutions, estimating costs, and driving technical discussions to win business.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Requests for Quotations (RFQs), customer specifications, and technical needs.
• Design innovative automation concepts and solutions suitable for consumer electronics manufacturing.
• Compile comprehensive techno-commercial proposals, preparing detailed cost estimates and budgeting for projects.
• Conduct feasibility assessments, cycle time evaluations, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate closely with Mechanical Design, Controls, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Sales teams.
• Engage with customers during technical discussions and proposal presentations.
• Procure quotations from vendors and suppliers to inform cost planning.
• Lead value engineering initiatives focused on cost reduction and optimization.
• Ensure punctual delivery of precise, competitive proposals meeting quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Production, Automation, or related disciplines.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in Proposal Engineering and Machine Design.
• Strong background in system design, machine architecture, and component selection to create technical proposals based on automation concepts.
• Experience in consumer electronics manufacturing automation, including Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), assembly and testing automation, material handling, and robotics.
• Exposure to manufacturing processes involving smartphones, electronics, audio devices, PCBA assemblies, and consumer electronics is advantageous.
