Overview

We are recruiting a proactive and commercially astute Key Account Manager to oversee and expand our essential retail partnerships. This role demands a professional with proven accomplishments in the FMCG industry who excels in negotiation, business insight, and fostering enduring relationships with senior stakeholders.

Key Duties

  • Formulate and execute strategic account plans focused on driving the company’s long-term growth objectives with high-value clients.
  • Act as the primary liaison for pivotal accounts to sustain lasting partnerships and ensure partner satisfaction.
  • Develop yearly business plans that align with Philips’ sales and marketing goals.
  • Lead negotiation and approval of annual Joint Business Plans in accordance with organizational sales and marketing targets.
  • Enhance revenue, market share, and profitability within allocated accounts.
  • Manage annual commercial negotiations involving terms, pricing, and promotional strategies to maintain profitability and growth.
  • Oversee contract discussions, pricing tactics, and promotional agreements.
  • Create accurate sales forecasts, manage budgets, and prepare performance reports.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to deliver solutions tailored to customer needs.

  • Conduct regular market visits to observe market trends, competitor actions, and consumer insights to pinpoint opportunities.
  • Evaluate instore merchandising and promoter effectiveness and provide guidance to ensure execution standards are met.
  • Guarantee in-store product availability and visibility as per channel strategies.
  • Manage trade marketing budgets and promotional expenses with focus on return on investment (ROI).
  • Compile regular sales forecasts, budgeting documents, and reports for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders and finance teams to process customer claims efficiently.
  • Track and control rebate, compensation, and incentive budgets per agreed plans.
  • Develop contract elements, coordinate quarterly reviews, and expedite rebate payments promptly.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or related fields.
  • At least five years’ experience in account management, client relations, partner sales operations, business development, or similar roles, preferably within FMCG, Beauty & Personal Care, or Consumer Electronics & Appliances sectors.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
  • Exceptional skills in negotiation, persuasion, and influencing to achieve win-win results.
  • Strong analytical abilities with financial literacy to assess sales figures, market data, and promotional impacts.
  • Excellent communication capabilities, both oral and written, to foster relationships and effectively present information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer-centric mindset.
  • Technical proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Office (Excel), and sales forecasting systems.

Work Environment

The role operates onsite at our company’s facilities in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with an expectation of at least three days per week presence in office settings, aligning with our collaborative culture that values team cohesion.
