Junior Geophysicist

Position Overview

We are seeking a recent graduate in Geophysics or related fields to join a specialised team based in Oxford, focusing on near-surface geophysical surveys and ground investigation projects throughout the UK. This role provides hands-on experience across diverse sectors such as infrastructure, environmental, engineering, and development.

Key Duties

• Conduct geophysical surveys employing a variety of techniques like Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT), seismic, magnetic, and electromagnetic methods.
• Gather, process, and interpret geophysical data to support investigations.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and interpretative materials based on collected data.
• Assist with onsite fieldwork and support survey activities across different UK locations.
• Collaborate closely with skilled geophysicists, engineers, and environmental experts.
• Travel as required to project sites to aid survey delivery.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree holder in Geophysics, Geosciences, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Enthusiasm for near-surface geophysics and ground investigation work.
• Strong analytical capabilities for interpreting complex technical datasets.
• Willingness to perform outdoor tasks and travel to various sites.
• Possession of a full UK driving licence or actively working towards obtaining one is advantageous.
