Role Overview

The Joinery Estimator role is a full-time position located in Doha with some hybrid flexibility for remote tasks. The primary responsibilities include analyzing drawings, specifications, and project documents to produce precise cost estimations for joinery and interior fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare comprehensive bills of quantities.
• Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotes and compile detailed cost breakdowns and tender submissions.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, and procurement teams to clarify technical details and update estimates as designs evolve.
• Support budget control and monitoring throughout the project's duration.
• Maintain and enhance cost databases and estimation templates.
• Contribute to value engineering initiatives aimed at optimizing cost efficiency and quality.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in estimation and cost analysis methodologies, including quantity surveying, cost breakdowns, and tender pricing in joinery and interior fit-out contexts.
• Technical expertise in joinery and interior fit-out materials, manufacturing methods, finishes, hardware, and installation techniques.
• Experienced with software tools such as MS Excel, estimation software, and basic CAD or drawing review skills for interpreting layouts and shop drawings.
• Strong project coordination and communication abilities to effectively collaborate with design, procurement, site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy, able to identify cost reduction and value engineering opportunities.
• Preferably holds a bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline, with prior experience in joinery or interior fit-out estimation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tenders and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Understanding of local building codes, contract terms, and market conditions within Doha and the GCC region is advantageous.
