IT Technical Programme Manager – Office Relocation

Role overview

This position is responsible for steering the IT workstream within an office relocation programme. The focus is on providing technical direction, maintaining governance, and ensuring all IT-related elements are delivered smoothly across the move.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full IT stream for the relocation from planning through handover.
• Coordinate network and connectivity preparations, including cabling completion and wireless network design.
• Arrange and supervise IDF/MDF room configuration along with environmental control requirements.
• Put in place IT security controls such as CCTV coverage and cybersecurity safeguards.
• Roll out workplace technology, including desktops, printers, and meeting-room AV equipment.
• Support the integration of smart building solutions and confirm readiness of the facility from an IT standpoint.
• Create business continuity arrangements and carry out compliance reviews.
• Compile and transfer all required IT documentation, assets, and project records.
• Align IT milestones with construction schedules and manage engagement with external vendors.

Required experience and capabilities

• At least 7 years of experience delivering IT infrastructure programmes.
• Background in IT workstreams tied to office relocation or new-build environments.
• Strong hands-on understanding of network infrastructure architecture.
• Solid knowledge of physical IT security controls and practices.
• Working familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Experience handling vendor documentation and formal handover procedures.

Preferred knowledge

• Exposure to local telecom and building regulatory requirements.
• Experience with IoT-enabled and smart building technologies.
• Understanding of digital twin concepts and how they integrate into projects.

Additional details

This is a Qatar-based office relocation project covering multiple technical areas. The engagement is for 12 months and is structured as 1 FTE. The role reports directly to senior management.
