Bit To Byte Robotics (BBR) is a pioneering AgriTech and IoT startup focused on revolutionizing farming and industrial processes through smart automation solutions. Established by engineers in Kota, Rajasthan, the firm emphasizes making advanced robotic technologies accessible, with products such as remote pump controllers and automated irrigation systems. With a vision to simplify complex tasks, BBR has gained national acclaim and government backing for its contributions toward sustainable innovations.
Role Overview
We are searching for a committed and resilient IoT Field Engineer to lead the hands-on deployment and commissioning of our farming automation systems. The role involves fieldwork to install, commission, and troubleshoot cutting-edge IoT controllers, sensor arrays, and tailored hardware. Candidates must excel in detailed technical problem-solving at the circuit board level while adapting to demanding physical and environmental conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute on-site installations, wiring, and commissioning of IoT devices including controllers and sensors across remote agricultural locations such as Lakheri, Mandana, Mangal, and K Patan.
- Diagnose and repair printed circuit boards down to individual components, identifying issues like short circuits or damaged parts, and performing micro-soldering or part replacement to reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot sensor calibration problems, electrical faults, and interface errors directly in the field environment.
- Set up and manage basic network configurations including routers, gateways, and local IP networks to ensure stable communication between edge devices and central control systems.
- Operate in challenging conditions involving extensive travel to distant rural villages and physically demanding work in high heat and humidity typical of farm environments.
- Maintain detailed records of deployments and failure modes, providing feedback to engineering teams to enhance the durability and performance of hardware.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated practical experience in PCB troubleshooting and component-level diagnostics using tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Proficiency in electrical wiring, basic networking setup, and interpretation of hardware schematics.
- Exceptional physical endurance and readiness for prolonged travel to remote village sites.
- Capability to work independently in isolated outdoor locations under harsh high-temperature conditions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to handle both network-level and hardware-level issues autonomously.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should have a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any engineering discipline to apply for this position.
